“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed hearts open.”
— Maria von Trapp
My name is Mihoko Stolley. As you can see, Kobayashi is a Japanese family name. I grew up in Japan and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. I have over 20 years of experience teaching piano, and am certified from Ultimate Music Theory. I grew up playing not only the piano but also various musical instruments, including the violin, trombone, flute, and a range of other instruments. As a child, I was always playing some kind of musical instrument and grew up performing in bands and orchestras.
My goal for teaching is to provide students with the opportunity to discover and improve their musical skills, so that each student has an individual desire to create music for the rest of their lives. I greatly enjoy watching my students think musically and express the art musically. Music brings people together and is shared everywhere. I am blessed to witness firsthand my students’ musical creations.
I'd love to discuss my music education services and lessons with you further.
